Error Message When You Try to Browse the Web: Access Denied to System Because of URL Filter Configuration (307588)

When you attempt to browse the Web, you may receive the following error message, where Web site.com is the name of the Web site that you attempt to browse:
Access denied to system because of URL Filter Configuration, while attempting to retrieve the URL: http://Web site.com CAUSE
This behavior can occur if your Web browser contains incorrect local area network (LAN) settings.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- Quit all running programs.
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Internet Options.
- Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN Settings.
- If you do not use a proxy server for Internet access, click to clear the Use a proxy server check box.
NOTE: If you use a proxy server, ensure that the correct IP address is displayed in the Address box. - If you do not use a configuration script, click to clear the following check boxes:
- Automatically detect settings
- Use automatic configuration script
NOTE: If you use a configuration script for Internet access, click to select the Automatically detect settings check box.
- Click OK twice, and then close Control Panel.
- Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
