SYMPTOMS

When a delegate attempts to send an e-mail message on behalf of the owner of a mailbox, the e-mail message may appear to be sent from the delegate rather than on behalf of the owner.

This issue can occur in the following situation:
  1. The owner of a mailbox creates an e-mail message and saves it to their Drafts folder.
  2. The delegate opens that e-mail message from the owner's Drafts folder.
  3. The delegate confirms that the From field lists the owner, and then sends the e-mail message.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, have the delegate move the e-mail message to another folder. To do this, have the delegate follow these steps:
  1. The delegate selects the e-mail message in the owner's Drafts Folder.
  2. On the Edit menu, the delegate clicks Move to Folder.
  3. The delegate selects their own Drafts folder.
  4. The delegate confirms that the From field lists the owner's name.
  5. The delegate sends the e-mail message.
This ensures that the e-mail message is sent on behalf of the owner.

STATUS
