307441. SYMPTOMS When a delegate attempts to send an e-mail message on
behalf of the owner of a mailbox, the e-mail message may appear to be sent from
the delegate rather than on behalf of the owner. This issue can occur
in the following situation:
- The owner of a mailbox creates an e-mail message and saves
it to their Drafts folder.
- The delegate opens that e-mail message from the owner's
Drafts folder.
- The delegate confirms that the From field lists the owner,
and then sends the e-mail message.
WORKAROUND To work around this issue, have the delegate move the
e-mail message to another folder. To do this, have the delegate follow these
steps:
- The delegate selects the e-mail message in the owner's Drafts Folder.
- On the Edit menu, the delegate clicks Move to
Folder.
- The delegate selects their own Drafts folder.
- The delegate confirms that the From field lists the owner's name.
- The delegate sends the e-mail message.
This ensures that the e-mail message is sent on behalf of the
owner. STATUSMicrosoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
at the beginning of this article.
