The INVOKE command is for internal use of SharePoint Portal Server (SPS) only and may change in future versions of the product. It is considered proprietary and is neither documented nor supported by Microsoft.

You may discover that the product uses the custom Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) verb named "INVOKE" to perform certain operations. There are files on the SharePoint Portal Server that use this WebDAV verb. You may find these files by either reviewing source files on the SharePoint Portal Server or by tracing network traffic into the server.
