This article describes how to use Microsoft Publisher to print postcards with mail merge addresses.

To print postcards in Publisher, break the postcard into two separate files for front and back, and then print one file at a time. To do this, follow these steps.

NOTE: Make sure that your mailing address information is attached before you follow these steps.
  1. Start Publisher.
  2. Open the postcard that you want to work with.
  3. Save the postcard as Back.pub.
  4. Using the mouse, drag to select all of the information on the front of the postcard, and then press DELETE.NOTE: Alternate between sides of the postcard by clicking the 1 and 2 icons.

  5. Save your changes, and then close the file.
  6. Save the postcard as Front.pub.
  7. Open the postcard so that the back appears. Using the mouse, drag to select all of the information on the back of the postcard, and then press DELETE.
  8. Save your changes.
  9. Print as many copies of Front.pub as you need to complete your project.
  10. Open Back.pub, make sure that the mail merge information is still attached, and then print the back of the postcard on the already printed postcards.
