XCCC: You Receive an 80550023 Error If You Perform a Web Store Search (307212)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
This article was previously published under Q307212 SYMPTOMS
If you perform a Web store query, you may receive the following error message:
HTTP 500.100 - Internal Server Error - ASP error Internet Information Services
Error Type: Microsoft OLE DB Provider For Exchange (0x80550023) Submitted SQL statement was incomplete.
/"PF_TREE"/"FOLDER/NameOfAsp.asp,line ##
The search contains the following entry:
file://./backofficestorage/DOMAIN.com/PF_TREE/NON_IPM_SUBTREE
CAUSE
This issue may occur if you do not have the appropriate permissions to create a top-level public folder in the tree in which you are performing the deep traversal search. A deep traversal search creates a temporary folder under the following non_ipm_subtree entry:
file://./backofficestorage/DOMAIN.com/PF_TREE/NON_IPM_SUBTREE
This temporary folder is not visible. Because you cannot create a top-level folder, the search is unsuccessful.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, ask the administrator to grant you Create Top Level Public Folder permissions.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, perform a shallow tree traversal search. This kind of search does not build the temporary folder. For additional information about how to perform a shallow tree traversal search, click the article number below
