Thumbnail View Still Shows Minipreviews of Images After You Delete All the Image Files from a Folder (307126)

In Thumbnail view, a folder shows minipreviews of as many as four of the files that are in the folder. After you delete all the images from a folder, you may still see the minipreviews of the deleted images.
Right-clicking the folder and then clicking Refresh does not resolve the behavior.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs only on a system that is formatted with the FAT or FAT32 file system.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
