This article describes how to change the registered file type for a .jpg file.
Installing an Olympus digital camera may alter the default file association type for .jpg files. When you try to open a .jpg file, you may receive the following error message:
Ordinal 2173 could not be located in the dynamic link library MFC30.dll.

Modifying the JPG File's Association- On the desktop, double-click My Computer.
- Click Tools, and then click Folder Options.
- On the File Types tab, under Registered file types, scroll down and then click the JPG file type.
- Click Change, click Imaging, and then click OK.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for file types JPE and JPEG.
After modifications are complete, click Close.
