When you try to access a Web page, you may receive the following error message:
Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site URL.
The application called an interface that was marshaled for a different thread.
CAUSE
This issue can occur if the Use a proxy server check box is selected on your computer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- Start Internet Explorer.
- On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- Click the Connections tab, and then click Settings.
- Click to clear the Use a proxy server check box, click OK, and then click OK.
