SYMPTOMS

The sixth character in the abbreviation of the Bulgarian word for "Thursday" is spelled incorrectly.

CAUSE

The Unicode character x0432 (Cyrillic small letter VE), that is visually similar to a small, uppercase "B", was inadvertently substituted for x0440 (Cyrillic small letter ER), which appears as a lower case "p".

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

This problem affects any program that uses the Win32 NLS GetCalendarInfo function to obtain the abbreviated native name of the fourth day of the week (the value CAL_SABBREVDAYNAME4 for the CALTYPE parameter).
