Internet Explorer Loses 128-Bit Encryption When You Run IE5DOM.exe (306784)

SYMPTOMS

When you run IE5DOM.exe as an add-in component to Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) 5.01, the browser may lose its secure encryption (128-bit) functionality.

RESOLUTION

To restore 128-bit encryption, run MSIE128.exe in place of IE5DOM.exe.

NOTE: Most of the setup switches are the same for IE5DOM.exe and MSIE128.exe.
