Visio2000: Chart Lines Appear in Different Positions Each Time You Open Your Organization Chart Drawing (306332)

In Microsoft Visio, when you open your organization chart diagram after you rearrange the positions of shapes in your drawing, the shapes may not appear in the positions where you moved them. Instead, they revert to their orginal positions.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if all of the following conditions are true:
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, turn off automation events in Visio, then paste your organization chart shapes into a new drawing to create a new organization chart, and then rearrange the shapes in your chart to the positions that you want. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start Visio.
- On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Advanced tab.
- Under Developer settings, click to clear the Enable automation events check box, and then click OK.
- Open your organization chart.
- On the Edit menu, click Copy Drawing, or press CTRL+C.
- On the File menu, point to New, point to Organization Chart, and then click Organization Chart.
- Click Paste on the Edit menu, or press CTRL+V to paste your organization chart shapes into the new drawing.
NOTE: The next time that you open your organization chart, ensure that the Enable automation events option is turned off.
