SUMMARY

In Lotus cc:Mail, when you use post office names that contain any of the following characters

;
.
!
@
#
$
%
*
/
\

e-mail from Exchange 2000 Server is returned as non-deliverable by the Exchange cc:Mail Connector.

These characters are unsupported in names for post offices by both Lotus and Microsoft.

This behavior is documented in the Lotus cc:Mail Release 8.5 Planning and Installation Guide, Chapter 5, page 57, which states:

"Do not use post office names that include the following characters: ;, ., !, @, #, $, %, *, / and \."
