Mapped network drives not available in Visual Studio .NET or Visual Studio 2005 setup (306033)

SUMMARY

When you install Visual Studio .NET or Visual Studio 2005, mapped network drives do not appear on the list of available drives as optional install locations.

The only drives that appear are physical drives and partitions.

This behavior is by design. Installing Visual Studio .NET or Visual Studio 2005 to a mapped network drive is not supported for this release.
