OPK Help File Has Incorrect Statements About What File Types You Can Start Through the OEM Link on the Start Menu (305920)

When you try to use information in the Microsoft OEM Preinstall Kit (OPK) Help file, you may find two incorrect statements under the Start Menu OEM Branding Page topic. The incorrect statements are:
OEMs can add a link to the Start menu to provide end users with easy access to an OEM's .htm file.
and
In the Target file box, type the full path and name for the local .htm file that is launched when the end user clicks the link in the Start menu.
These statements make it seem that you can start only an .htm file from the original equipment manufacturer's link.

Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and system builders use the OPK to preinstall Windows operating systems. In the OPK for Windows XP, the Opk.chm file states that only a Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) file can be started from the OEM link on the Start menu. However, you can also start an executable (.exe) file or a batch (.bat) file from the OEM link on the Start menu.
