Computer That Is Equipped with an IBM ScrollPoint Mouse Does Not Enter Standby Mode (305876)

On a computer that is equipped with an IBM ScrollPoint mouse, you may not be able to put the computer into Standby mode.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, turn off the Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby option for the mouse:
- Click Start on the taskbar, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.
- Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
- In Device Manager, click the plus sign (+) next to Mice and other pointing devices, and then double-click the listing for the ScrollPoint mouse.
- In the Properties dialog box for the mouse, click the Power Management tab.
- Click to clear the Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby check box.
