BUG: QC Recorder Should Send MSMQ Security ID Only If Messages Are Authenticated (305772)

SYMPTOMS

The Queued Component (QC) Recorder sets Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ) message attributes in such a way that the MSMQ-provided security identifier (SID) is always sent on MSMQ Active Directory configurations and is never sent in MSMQ Workgroup configurations. However, QC should send the MSMQ-provided SID only when message authentication is requested.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
