OFF2000: Text That You Type Changes Unexpectedly (305566)

When you type a word or number into a document in one of the programs listed at the beginning of this article, the text may be unexpectedly changed into a different word or number.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if an AutoCorrect rule has been created and turned on, which replaces the text in question with the text that you see automatically generated.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- Start the program.
- On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect.
- In the Replace box on the AutoCorrect tab, type the text that is being erroneously changed.
The With box should automatically display the text that has been designated as the replacement text. - Click Delete.
- Click OK.
