SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade to Internet Explorer 6 for Windows 98, Outlook 2002 and Outlook Express 5, 5.01, and 5.5 may display random messages that have both a blank message body and Subject field.

CAUSE

This problem can occur because the Mlang.dll file for Internet Explorer 6 for Windows 98 is incompatible with Outlook 2002 and Outlook Express 5, 5.01, and 5.5.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, download the final released version of Internet Explorer/Outlook Express at the following Microsoft Web site:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Internet Explorer 6 Public Preview for Windows 98. This problem was first corrected in the released version of Internet Explorer 6 for Windows 98.
