Performance Data Is Displayed in the Taskpad View Even Though You Specify Normal View (305454)

SYMPTOMS

When you specify the Normal view for viewing performance, and you then select All Performance in the Microsoft Management Console (MMC), the Taskpad view is displayed.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, specify the Normal view after you click View Performance:
  1. Click All Performance, click Action, and then click New Taskpad View.
  2. Follow the instructions to create a taskpad view.
  3. Make sure All Performance is still selected, and then click the Normal tab in the result pane.
  4. Select the local computer, click Action, and then click View Performance.
  5. Click the Normal tab again.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
