XCCC: Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server Performance Counters Are Not Available (305376)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server
This article was previously published under Q305376 SYMPTOMS
When you install Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server on a computer that does not have the T.120 Multipoint Control Unit (MCU) component installed on it, the performance counters that correspond to Conferencing Server are not available in System Monitor.
CAUSE
This problem can occur because the IPerfMonObject interface does not register when only the Conference Management Service exists on the computer. When you install the T.120 MCU component, specifically the Xt120mcu.exe file, the interface properly registers.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, run Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server Setup, and then install the T.120 MCU component. To prohibit the use of this computer as a T.120 MCU server, stop the MSExchangeT120 and MSExchangeH323 services in the Services program, click Apply, and then set both of the services to Disable.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. MORE INFORMATION
This problem occurs in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server Release to Manufacture (RTM) and Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server Service Pack 1 (SP1).
