SYMPTOMS

When you are using the Brazilian Portuguese language version of Windows Millennium Edition (Me) and you try to establish a Point to Point Protocol (PPP) connection to the Internet, you may receive the following error message:
Rnaapp causou um erro em <desconhecido>.
Rnaapp sera fechado.

Se o problema persistir,
tente reiniciar o computador.

RNAAPP causou uma falha de pagina invalida no

CAUSE

The maximum number of characters allowed for an error message of this type is 255. The text for error number 650 (when it is translated to Brazilian Portuguese) exceeds this maximum value and generates the error message that is listed in the "Symptoms" section of this article.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
