SYMPTOMS
The Go button may be missing from the Address bar in Internet Explorer.
CAUSE
Although the Go button is enabled by default, it can be disabled. The Go button is not displayed if it has been disabled.
RESOLUTION
To display the Go button in the Address bar, use any of the following methods.
Method 1- In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the Tools menu.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Click to select the Show Go button in Address bar check box, and then click OK.
Method 2
Right-click the Address bar, and then click Go Button.
Method 3WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may
require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve
problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk. - Using Registry Editor, locate and click the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main - Change the data value of the ShowGoButton String value to Yes.
MORE INFORMATION
If the Go button is displayed, you can type an address in the Address box and then click Go to go to that Web page. Whether or not the Go button is displayed, you can press ENTER after typing a Web address to go to that Web page.
