Routemon.exe Cannot Set the Router Priority to Zero on an OSPF Interface (305210)

SYMPTOMS

You can use the Routemon.exe utility to set the priority of an interface to any other value with the exception of 0 (zero). If you attempt to use 0 as the value, you receive the following error message:
Incorrect value specified for option.

CAUSE

This problem can occur because of a logic error in the Ipmon.dll file.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows NT 4.0.
