The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
This article was previously published under Q304998 SUMMARY You may experience the following symptoms when you use
roaming profiles on computers that are running Microsoft Windows 2000
MultiLanguage Version:
- Text in certain windows and dialog boxes may appear as
blocks or appear in a different language.
- Icons and buttons in certain windows and dialog boxes
appear incorrectly.
For example, in Control Panel, you may find that text appears in
a different language, and icons are not displayed as you expect. CAUSEThis issue may occur if you use a roaming profile with
different Multilanguage Version language installations on different computers.
For example, this issue may occur if you log on to a computer with
Korean language support activated, log off, and then log on to a computer with
Japanese language support activated. Windows 2000 Multilanguage Version does
not support the use of roaming profiles across different language
installations.WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue, install support for the
appropriate language on the computer.
