Software Installation Does Not Support Deployment of Multiple UI Packages (304746)

SYMPTOMS

When you deploy a product that has multiple languages in the summary information (for example, '1033,1031'), the Software Installation component may return the following error message:
Add operation failed. Unable to extract deployment information.

CAUSE

This problem can occur because Software Installation does not support multiple languages in the summary information.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, remove the multiple User Interface (UI) from the summary information.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

It is recommended that you do not attempt to install the multiple UI package to avoid the problem described in this article.
