$List_Member Function Does Not Work with Foreign User Output in MMS 2.2 SP1 (304738)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Metadirectory Services 2.2 SP1

This article was previously published under Q304738

SYMPTOMS

After you install Microsoft Metadirectory Services (MMS) 2.2 Service Pack 1 (SP1), management agents that use the $List_Member function in the foreign user output template do not function as expected. This is an example of how the $List_Member function could be written in the foreign user output template:

$LIST_MEMBER("Member:$dn_component($mv.dn,1,1)","full")

As shown in the following sample output, the first three lines of a record in the export file are null:

Parent: Test1, TestDescription
Member:
Member:
Member:
Member: d=Son#1
Member: d:Son#2

This is how the output should appear:

Parent: Test1, TestDescription
Member: d=Son#1
Member: d:Son#2
