MOM OnePoint Database Size Never Large Enough When Auditing Is Turned On (304678)

SYMPTOMS

If you turn on the Auditing function in Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM), you may encounter a database-size issue. Even if you maintain low grooming rates, the OnePoint database may never be big enough.

CAUSE

This issue can occur because MOM has no grooming job that is designed to groom the Auditing tables, AuditLogValues and AuditLog.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, contact Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS) for information about performing manual cleanup of the Auditing tables.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
