OnePointOp Reporting Group Users Cannot View Reports (304673)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Operations Manager 2000

This article was previously published under Q304673

SYMPTOMS

After you log on with a user account that is a member of the OnePointOp Reporting local group but is not a member of the local Administrators group, when you try to run reports, Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) generates several warning messages and error messages, and you cannot run the reports.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the OnePointOp Reporting group does not have read, write, and modify permissions to the reporting database file (Eearept.mdb).

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, grant the OnePointOp Reporting group read, write, and modify permissions to the Eearept.mdb file. Also, make sure that the OnePointOp Reporting group has read, write and modify permissions to the HTML output root directory, where HTML reports are saved.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
