SYMPTOMS

When you set the BorderStyle property of a list box on a report to Transparent, parts of the list box border are still visible when you preview or print the report.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. Start Microsoft Access, and then open the sample database Northwind.mdb.
  2. Create a new report that is not based on any table or query.
  3. Add a list box to the detail section of the report.
  4. On the View menu, click Properties.
  5. Set the BorderStyle property of the list box to Transparent.
  6. On the File menu, click Print Preview. Note that you can still see the top and left borders around the list box.
