OL2000: Invalid Page Fault Error Message When You Synchronize Palm Pilot IV: MSO9.DLL Error (304503)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to synchronize your Palm Pilot IV, you may receive the following Invalid Page Fault (IPF) error message:
MSO9.DLL Error

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are using the Microsoft Outlook Personal Folders Backup tool.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, uninstall the Microsoft Outlook Personal Folders Backup tool. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Quit Outlook.
  2. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  4. In the list of programs on the Install/Uninstall tab, find and select Microsoft Outlook Personal Folders Backup. Click Add/Remove.
  5. Click Yes to confirm that you want to uninstall this software.
