The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
This article was previously published under Q304306 SYMPTOMS
If you send a message to an X.400 one-off address with a Domain-Defined Attribute (DDA) type (for example, FAX) that matches the default recipient policy, but the recipient is not present in Active Directory, the message may generate a non-delivery report (NDR), even if you enable the X.400 "share address space" option.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, open the properties of the X.400 connector, click the Address space tab, and then add the type (the type is FAX in the scenario that is described in the "Symptoms" section of this article) with the address *.
