SYMPTOMS

There is a difference of one hour between the Daylight Savings Time end-transition implementation and the documented legislation for some states in Australia. The implementation is to end Daylight Savings Time at 2:00 A.M. Daylight Savings Time and then roll back the system clock by one hour to 1:00 A.M.. However, the legislation states that Daylight Savings Time is to end at 2:00 A.M. Standard Time, so the change would occur at 3:00 A.M. Daylight Savings Time to roll back by one hour to 2:00 A.M.. All time zones in Australia that participate in Daylight Savings Time are affected. That includes all computers in New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory and South Australia. Because Western Australia, Queensland and Northern Territory do not participate in Daylight Savings Time, they are not affected by this change.
