The information in this article applies to:

- the operating system: Microsoft Windows 2000

When you change the menu and dialog box language in Microsoft Windows 2000 MultiLanguage Version, the menus and dialog boxes in your Microsoft Office programs are not updated to the new language as expected.
CAUSE
This behavior is by design. The language setting in Microsoft Windows 2000 MultiLanguage Version changes only the operating system user interface, not the user interface of installed programs.

- In the Display menus and dialog boxes in box on the User Interface tab, point to the arrow, and then click the language for the user interface in all Office programs.
