This article was previously published under Q303959 SYMPTOMS
When you embed a Microsoft Excel 2002 object in a Corel Draw 10 graphic, the object may not be visible; however, it may still be available for editing.
WORKAROUND
If an Excel Worksheet object is embedded in the Corel Draw graphic, you can work around the problem by removing the background color of the cells. To do this, follow these steps:
- In Corel Draw 10, double-click the area where the Excel Worksheet object is supposed to be displayed.
- Select all the cells in the worksheet. To do this, click the Select All button (the gray rectangle at the upper-left corner of the worksheet, where the row and column headings meet).
- Right-click the worksheet, and then click Format Cells on the shortcut menu.
- On the Patterns tab, click No Color.
- Click OK.
- Click outside the worksheet so that it is no longer active.
You can also prevent this problem from occurring by removing the fill color from the object that you want to embed in the Corel Draw graphic. To do this, follow these steps:
- In Microsoft Excel, right-click the drawing object that you want to embed in your Corel Draw 10 graphic, and then click Format AutoShape.
- On the Colors and Lines tab, under Fill, click No Fill in the Color list.
- Click OK.
You can now copy and paste the drawing object into your Corel Draw 10 graphic.
