Enhancements and Addressed Issues

  • This version corrects an intermittent error that occurs when the player and Web browser plug-in are used successively. Specifically, you first use the player to play streaming media content, and leave the player running. You then use the Web browser to play content that is embedded in a Web page. If you attempt to play a subsequent stream with the player, the player is not activated and an "Error creating unique tmp file" error message appears.
  • This version corrects an issue in which the playing of embedded content pauses if another system event takes place. Such events include the activation of a menu in the Web browser or another program.
  • This version includes improved Uniform Resource Locator (URL) support that allows for playing a greater range of content.
  • This version removes leading and trailing space characters from URLs that you enter directly in the player's Open URL dialog box or URLs that are defined in .asx files.
