SYMPTOMS

When a computer connects and then disconnects from a remote access session on your Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer, your Windows 2000-based computer may unexpectedly stop responding, and you may experience one of the following symptoms:
  • You receive a stop error message on a blue screen that is similar to the following:
    Stop 0x0000000E (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
  • CPU usage increases to 100 percent.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if the Tcpip.sys process incorrectly processes certain routes for Routing Internet Protocol (RIP) entries in the routing table.

RESOLUTION
