Problems with Windows Media Player When You Suspend and Resume Your Computer (303799)

If you suspend or hibernate your computer while you are running Windows Media Player and later resume the computer, the following symptoms may occur:
- Error messages may appear.
- The visualization may stop.
- Sound may be skipped.
- A "Drive read error" message may be displayed.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, quit Windows Media Player before you suspend or hibernate your computer.
