To determine if the Microsoft Server ActiveSync component is installed on a server:
- Click Start, point to Programs, click Microsoft Mobile Information Server, and then click System Manager.
- Right-click the server name, and then click Properties.
- In the Properties window, click to select the appropriate check box to assign the role of the server.
When Microsoft Server ActiveSync component is installed on a server, the role field contains the string "Microsoft Server Activesync".
