File Attributes Are Missing After You Copy a File to the Staging Area for CD Burning (303596)

SYMPTOMS

After you copy a file to the staging area for CD burning, the copied file may not retain the attributes of the original file.

CAUSE

This can occur if the drive where the file resides uses the FAT16 or FAT32 file system. Windows XP does not support the copying of file attributes on a FAT16 or FAT32 drive.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
