"Play All" Option Does Not Play Song File That Is Nested Deep Within the My Music Folder (303558)

SYMPTOMS

When you store a song file deep within nested subfolders of the My Music folder and you click the Play All option to play the entire My Music folder, the nested file may not play.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the file is stored in a subfolder that is more than 10 levels down. The file is not loaded.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, move the file to a subfolder that is within the first 10 levels of subfolders under My Music.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
