Error Message: ClassFactory Cannot Supply Requested Class (303454)

SYMPTOMS

When you unpack the Data Warehouse resource, the following error occurs after you enter the OLAP Server connection information:

ClassFactory cannot supply requested class

CAUSE

This error occurs because the Msolap80.dll file is being overwritten by an older version.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, update Analysis Services by installing the SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP1) update for the Analysis Services components. To do this, go to the following Web site:

http://www.microsoft.com/sql/downloads/2000/sp1.asp

In the Versions drop-down list, select a language, click GO, and then download the file that updates the Analysis Services components to SP1.
