OFF2001: File Menu Displays Fax and Fax Preview Instead of Print and Print Preview (303264)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to use either the Print command or the Print Preview command from the File menu, these commands may be missing. Instead, you may see the Fax and Fax Preview commands.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if a fax driver is specified as the default printer driver in Chooser.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, specify a printer driver in Chooser. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click the Apple icon, and then click Chooser.
  2. In the Chooser dialog box, click the printer driver that you want to use, and then close the Chooser dialog box.
  3. Click OK to have the change take effect.
