SYMPTOMS

In a multi-site environment, a memory leak may occur in Lsass.exe during the registration of SRV records in a DNS container during site coverage for each site. This happens where sites do not contain a domain controller (DC) and the IP site links are configured to a single site.

CAUSE

When no primary server A record is found by DnsFindAuthoritativeZone, an additional query runs to find the primary zone, but the information that is found by this query is not released.
