OFFPP: Error Message When You Start Office Personal Portfolio: WKPPE Caused an Invalid Page Fault in Module GDIPLUS.DLL (303023)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to start Microsoft Office Personal Portfolio, you may receive the following error message:
WKPPE caused an invalid page fault in module GDIPLUS.DLL

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if your computer's video driver needs to be updated.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, download and install the newest version of the appropriate video driver for your computer's display adapter. Be sure to follow the vendor's directions for updating, to ensure that the video driver is correctly updated.

After you verify that the video driver is updated, reinstall Microsoft Office Personal Portfolio by using the following method for your computer's operating system.

Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), and Microsoft Windows NT 4.0:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs, and then click the Install/Uninstall tab.
  3. Click Microsoft Office Personal Portfolio, and then click Add/Remove.
  4. Click Next twice.
  5. Click Reinstall and then click Next.

Microsoft Windows 2000:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs, and then click Microsoft Office Personal Portfolio in the Currently installed programs list.
  3. Click Change and then click Next.
  4. Click Reinstall and then click Next.
