Visio2000: Diagrams and Embedded DWG Files Are Not Printed Correctly on HP DeskJet 1120C Printer (302940)

SYMPTOMS

When you print to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) DeskJet 1120C printer, the position of diagrams may be pushed upward and the top portions of embedded DWG files may be clipped.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the print job is initially spooled. It can also occur when you print a document in the Enhanced Metafile (EMF) format.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods.

Method 1: Print Directly to the Printer

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Printers.
  2. Right-click your HP DeskJet 1120C printer icon, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu.

    The Printer Properties dialog box is displayed.
  3. In the Printer Properties dialog box, click the Details tab, and then click Spool Settings.
  4. In the Spool Settings dialog box, click Print directly to the printer.NOTE: If the local printer is being shared, the Print directly to the printer option is not available. To resolve this issue, stop sharing the printer.

  5. Click OK twice.

Method 2: Change Spool Data Format

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Printers.
  2. Right-click your HP DeskJet 1120C printer icon, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu.

    The Printer Properties dialog box is displayed.
  3. In the Printer Properties dialog box, click the Details tab, and then click Spool Settings.
  4. In the Spool Settings dialog box, select RAW in the Spool Data Format list.
  5. Click OK twice.
