After you upgrade your Microsoft Windows 95-based computer to Microsoft Windows 98, the computer may stop responding (hang) during startup.
The mouse cursor may appear, but the Windows desktop may not.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur when you upgrade a Windows 95-based Toshiba notebook computer to Windows 98.
RESOLUTION
