Error Message: Unable to Load the CloneCD Device Driver (302812)

SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade to Windows XP from Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition, or Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), the Elaborate Bytes CloneCD version 2.8.5.2 program may generate the following error message:
Clone CD

Unable to load the CloneCD device driver!
After Installation of CloneCD Windows has to be restarted!
OK

CAUSE

This issue can occur because CloneCD needs to re-register the device driver after an upgrade to Windows XP.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, uninstall Clone CD, and then reinstall Clone CD.
