To locate the Associate with accounts in an external domain option:

1. Start the Exchange 2000 SP1 Migration Wizard; click Start, point to Programs, click Microsoft Exchange, and then click Migration Wizard.
2. Click Next, and then click Migrate from Microsoft Exchange 5.5.
3. Click Next twice, and then click Migrate to a computer running Exchange Server.
4. Click Next, and then type the Exchange Server 5.5 computer name, the Administrator account name, and the password in the appropriate boxes.
5. Click Next, and then select the accounts and mailboxes that you want to migrate.
6. Click Next. In the Container for new windows accounts dialog box, click Options.
7. The Associate with accounts in an External Domain option is displayed, but is unavailable.

In MAPI migration, the wizard automatically associates accounts with the external domain as necessary. Therefore, there is no reason to display the association information in the user interface. In other words, the Microsoft Windows NT account that is associated with the Exchange Server 5.5 mailbox before the migration is the Windows NT account that is associated with the Exchange 2000 mailbox after the migration. If the account that is associated with the Exchange Server 5.5 mailbox is an account in an external domain, the Migration Wizard sets up the external reference automatically.
