XCON: Messages Queued for Foreign Connectors and MTA May Disappear If Routing Group Connector or Administrative Group Is Renamed (302452)

SYMPTOMS

If you rename an Exchange 2000 Server Routing Group connector or administrative group while there are messages queued for a foreign connector (such as the Microsoft Exchange Connector for Lotus cc:Mail, the Microsoft Exchange Connector for Lotus Notes, the Microsoft Exchange Connector for Novell GroupWise, the Microsoft Mail Connector, or an X.400 Connector) and the Exchange 2000 Routing Engine service (RESvc) and the Exchange 2000 MTA Stacks service (MSExchangeMTA) are restarted, the messages may not reach their destination and may disappear from the Exchange 2000 queues.

RESOLUTION
