This article was previously published under Q302300 SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to drag an item from SharePoint Portal Server into a Resolution or Content Management Server (CMS) 2001 resource gallery, the operation is unsuccessful. When you drag the item into the resource gallery hierarchy at the left of the Site Builder screen, it appears as though a shortcut is being added; however, the shortcut is not created, and the object is not dragged into the gallery. When you attempt to drag the item into a specific resource gallery preview pane on the right side of the Site Builder screen, Site Builder does not allow you to drag the item in the gallery.
RESOLUTION
To add an item from SharePoint Portal Server into a Resolution or CMS 2001 resource gallery, either drag or copy the item from SharePoint to a general Microsoft Windows location (such as the desktop). After you move the item out of SharePoint, you can add the item to the resource gallery by using any of the supported Resolution or CMS methods.
If a network share has been set up, you can also use one of the following methods to add the item manually:
- Right-click the target resource gallery, click New, and then click Resource. Browse to the location of the object on the network share.
- If a network share has been set up, click File, click New, and then click Resource. Browse to the location of the object on the network share.
